The Fortress - Wall Hanging Altar

This hanging altar is one of our newest shapes we created, and maybe one of our favourites to date.

It depicts a medieval queen wearing a so called “mural crown”. We have been obsessing over these crowns since we have seen a lot of them on our visit to the magnificent city of Prague, and seeing them absolutely everywhere from house facades to adorning the heads of the beauties of Prague’s main train station.

They are crowns that symbolise protection over the city they depict (most times city walls, or castle). The castle on our piece, even though having parallels with one of our many local castles here, is mostly made up, but stands for the realm we built for ourselves, the bubble we have a part in and we want to protect at all cost.

Slight imperfections might occur due to the handmade nature of the piece.

All our ceramics are one of a kind, and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Every piece of ceramic art we make is built entirely by hand without casts, machinery or digital tools. From shaping to surface painting the process is slow and deeply intentional, each detail added by hand over many hours. Our ceramics are fired twice to ensure strength, longevity and daily usability. No AI has been used in any stage of our work. What you see is the result of human hands, patient craftsmanship and a genuine connection to material and form. Each piece is truly one of a kind.
