Care Instructions for Ceramic Pieces

Hand Wash Recommended: It is always recommended to wash your ceramic piece by hand in warm, soapy water, even though our functional pieces like plates, platters, bowls, mugs etc. are dishwasher safe.

Avoid Abrasives: Skip harsh scrubbing pads, steel wool, and abrasive cleansers, which can permanently scratch or dull the glazed surface.

Avoid Extreme Shifts: Ceramics can crack when exposed to sudden temperature changes (thermal shock). Do not transfer a piece directly from the freezer to a hot oven, or from a hot oven into cold water.

Stacking: To prevent chips and pressure cracks, never over-stack plates or bowls. It is recommended to place felt or cork between pieces for stacking.

Protect Surfaces: The unglazed bottoms of handmade pottery can be slightly gritty and scratch delicate wooden tables or glass. Use coasters or placemats to protect your furniture

Gold Lustre

Ceramics pieces with gold lustre require gentle, specialized care to preserve their delicate metallic finish. By following these steps, you can prevent the gold detail from turning dull or wearing off over time.

Hand Wash Only: Always wash by hand in warm, soapy water. Avoid harsh detergents and abrasive sponges or scrubbers.

No Microwave or Oven: Metallic lustre will spark in the microwave, and extreme heat can damage the finish.

Gentle Handling: Use a soft cloth to clean and dry. Store carefully to avoid scratching the gold against other pottery.

Care instructions for metal ornaments

Handling: Be careful when handling metal ornaments: the edges may be sharp and cause injury.
Metal ornaments made of brass can tarnish from the natural oils of your skin, so remember to always wear clean gloves when handling.
Dusting: Dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth..
Removing tarnish: Wet a piece of cloth, squeeze all water out, then dip a corner into vinegar essence. gently rub on the tarnished area to remove it. Remember to always dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Never use steel wool as it will scratch the polished brass surface.
