Commission of bespoke hand painted Lover’s Eye ornament - may it be your own eye, eye of a loved one, your pet or a fictional character, these special ornaments make a wonderful gift for anyone including yourself.

Once we’ve received your order, we will send you a written confirmation via email, where you will be asked to submit ideally 3 high quality photos of the eye you’d like us to paint. It is possible to add a short sentence to the back of the piece.

Your chosen eye will be painted in black. It is not possible to add colors to this commission. Please note that it also is not possible to change the frame that is already painted on the piece.

Lover’s Eyes became popular in the 18th century. They were miniature painted eyes, used to express devotion between lovers. The notion was that the giver would gift a miniature painting of their eye in form of jewelry or a brooch, which would only be recognizable by their lover, therefore, it could be worn publicly while keeping the lover's identity a secret.

Slight imperfections might occur due to the handmade nature of the piece.

All our ceramics are one of a kind, and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Material: Stoneware, glaze to be added

Size after final firing: approx. 10,5x10,5×0,5 cm

The last photo serves as an example for this commission, and it is not part of the listing!

Please note that the ornament on the listing photo is in its bisque fired state. After painting we apply a clear glaze to give it a high gloss finish. (See last photo for reference )

  • Currently we offer standard shipping within the EU and to the UK.

    Our standard shipping within Germany starts at 12€, Within the EU at 22€ and to the UK at 30€.

    We ship out orders once a week, so depending on what day an order gets placed it might take up to 7 days until it gets sent out. Delivery times depend on the destination country, within Germany it’s 1-3 working days, within the EU it’s 1-6 workin days. Order to the UK take an average 3-7 working days to arrive.     If you choose in-store pickup, we will reach out to you regarding the pickup time of your order. If we don’t receive a response from you within 24 hours we will cancel and refund your order.

    For deliveries to countries outside the EU (e.g., UK), additional import duties, customs fees, and local taxes may be levied by the destination country. All such additional costs are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

  • Customers from the EU have the right to return ready-made pieces within 14 days of receiving them, without giving any reason. You may submit your cancellation request via our cancellation form here.
