This hanging altar, shaped as an upside down cross, is adorned with five moths on a blooming flower.

These altars are particularly hard to make, due to the fragility of it until its fired twice. The combination of the shape and the clay make it not easy to transport even a few centimetres, when still unfired.

It is highly inspired by the beauty of moths, and their symbolism, as much as by our love for the movie “Crimson Peak” by Guillermo del Toro. We highly recommend watching this masterpiece for its visuals alone!
